RADIO PUNJAB provides the best music entertainment, live news from India, BBC and Voice Of America, sports, religious programs along with open line talk shows (Interactive Broadcasting) which gives the audience a chance to voice their opinions on issues effecting the community. Radio Punjab serves the entire community by rising above the religious fanaticism, political narrow-mindedness and factionalism.
As a community station, RADIO PUNJAB strives to provide points of view that are rarely expressed in mainstream media. It takes pride in being an alternative to mainstream media and offers the public a forum for expressing points of view that otherwise may not be heard. All programming is produced within the regulations of the Broadcasting Act and Radio Regulations Act.
RADIO PUNJAB is North Americas largest Indo-Canadian station staffed by seasoned, award winning professionals. Communities respected members host the programs and RADIO PUNJAB always welcomes new volunteers, to participate in the station as a programmer, department assistant or a member of our spoken word collectives.
The hosts of RADIO PUNJAB prepare their shows before going on-air, have a complete knowledge of their topics and bring sponsors for their shows. They also record advertisements for the Radio Station and also provide pre-recorded programs to the Radio Station for emergency use.
RADIO PUNJAB has a variety of programs supporting the involvement of students and members of the community. The station accepts press releases, public service announcements, event announcements and news stories for on-air broadcasting.
